Athma Special School was intercepted in a rented building in 2009 to impart a holistic, multi-disciplined, and remedial & rehab center for children with Autism, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Down syndrome, and multiple developmental disabilities.
The aim is to enhance and uplift the positive skills of the child with the help of supportive strategies. These pieces of training are structured according to the individual education program (IEP) formulated by the National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped.
The foundation of this school is compassion, empathy, and love. Our service is very soul-satisfying as we could share the burden & hardship of the parents and could visualize light at the end. We have assessment tools to match international standards.
We are one of few schools in the Trichy district with all specialists under one roof, such as special educators, autism specialists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists who psychologists and psychiatrists guide.
Our children have participated in District, state-level, and National level arts, dance, and athletics competitions that have brought laurels to our school and pride to their parents.
